Elon Musk Steps Back From White House Role, Continues Remote Work With DOGE Agency
Elon Musk, the world’s richest man and CEO of Tesla, is winding down his active role at the White House, according to a new report from the New York Post.
Musk, who was appointed as an unpaid special government employee for the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), has begun transitioning away from regular on-site work, marking the next step in a move long anticipated by officials.
Earlier this month, the White House confirmed that Musk’s departure from day-to-day operations was part of the original plan, with the expectation that he would ultimately shift his focus back to Tesla after “completing his incredible work at DOGE.”
Though Musk is no longer a daily fixture at the White House, he remains engaged with the agency remotely, continuing to lend his expertise to efficiency initiatives that insiders say have already made a lasting impact.
